When you come to Hartford Church as a guest, we don’t want you to stay a stranger long. Below are some easy, enjoyable ways to get involved and serve even as a newcomer.

Sabbath Hospitality

Sabbath dinner is the first place you can connect and begin experiencing Hartford. A Sabbath vegetarian buffet is served every week in the fellowship hall. As a first time visitor you are an honored guest. But don’t stop there. Join in the ministry and come again with your favorite vegetarian dish. Offer help in the kitchen, share in the clean up!

Bible study, prayer, and sharing

Women’s Prayer Group: a women’s spiritual group, meets on Thursday evening at 6:30pm in the fellowship hall for prayer and Bible study.

Prayer Meeting: Join us every Tuesday evening at 7:00pm for a special time of worship, singing, and deep discussion.

Ellen White Class: Every Monday evening at 7:00pm at the Nafziger’s house, join a group of us who are studying through a Spirit of Prophecy book. If you have questions call: 269-944-3740.

After School Program

We are working with the public school every Monday and Wednesday afternoon. One class is on Character and the other is on Health. Starts at 3:00pm and ends at 4:30. If you are interested in helping, contact Pastor Phil Mills at 269-409-1010.

Health and Evangelism

Hartford church is about reaching out to our community, and there are a number of ways you are welcome to join us as we attempt to shine as lights to our community.

Health Programs: At Hartford we believe that we are holistic beings, and that Health is a critical part of who we are. Several programs; CHIP classes, Stop Smoking Classes, Food preservation classes (canning/freezing/etc), Cooking Classes, and so much more.

Outreach: Sabbath afternoons is a time for visiting members who are shut in, fellowshipping with other believers, going for walks, and also taking time Bible studies with others.

Music:

At hartford, we believe that Music is just as much apart of worship as prayer and study of the world. If you play an instrument, sing (solo or in a choir), then do come and Join us.

Church Choir: Love singing? Then come join us in the church choir. We practice every Sunday evening at 6:00pm.

Song Service: Play an instrument or lead out.
